Change Your Name During a Meeting via the Desktop Client

Follow these steps to change your name while in a Zoom meeting. It is important to note that they work regardless of whether you created the meeting in question or not. Therefore, we will start from within a meeting.

Step 1

Assuming that you are already in a meeting, the screen should look like this (note that we have turned the camera off): Click on the Participants button at the bottom of the meeting window.

Step 2

A list of all participants in the meeting should appear on the right side of the window.

Step 3

Hover with your mouse over your name then click Rename.

Step 4

You should see a text box containing your current name. Delete it and write a new one. Click OK to confirm.
