Nominations for 2027 Officers

To identify and encourage qualified and interested members to submit an application for a Tennessee REALTORS® office; to nominate and recommend, to the Tennessee REALTORS® Board of Directors, at least on individual for the office of President-Elect, First Vice President, Treasurer, and a Vice President for each Grand Division; to recommend, to the Tennessee REALTORS® Directors, individuals to be recommended to NAR to serve as NAR Directors representing Tennessee; and when it is Tennessee’s turn to have an NAR Regional Vice President, recommend, to the Tennessee REALTORS® Directors, an individual to be recommended to NAR, for this position. 


The application window will begin on April 6th and close on June 12th. 

Composition: The six immediate past Divisional Vice Presidents and the three immediate past Tennessee REALTORS® Presidents who hold membership in the Association. The past President who has been on the committee the longest shall serve as Chair. In the event that one of the aforementioned shall be unable or unwilling to serve as a candidate for any of the offices being considered, he/she shall be ineligible to serve on the Nominating Committee and his/her respective position shall be filled by the next previous eligible Divisional Vice President (within the same division) or the next previous eligible past President.

2027 Officers Job Descriptions

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT

 

The First Vice President is third to the President in leadership and offers support to the Divisional Vice Presidents. Participates most actively with the development of the Strategic Plan and provides ongoing counsel to the Strategic Thinking Advisory Committee. Fulfills the responsibilities of the President in the absence of the President and President-Elect. Supports and defends policies and programs adopted by the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Promotes active participation in Tennessee REALTORS® on the part of the membership.

 

(3) DIVISION VICE PRESIDENT (2-Year Term)

Division Vice Presidents (DVPs) are the official representatives of the local associations within their jurisdiction (West, Middle and East) and serve as liaisons between those associations and the Tennessee REALTORS® leadership. They ensure that local leadership is aware of the content and importance of Tennessee REALTORS® programs. They attend local events and offer to meet and assist with issues as needs arise. DVPs serve as a voting member of the Executive Committee. Each DVP is assigned to be a committee liaison. They promote active participation in NAR on the part of the membership.
