The Good Neighbor Award is awarded annually to an exceptional REALTOR® who excels in their profession and make a profound difference in their communities through volunteer service. The award includes a $5,000 grant from Tennessee REALTORS® to support the recipient’s preferred philanthropic organization.
Morgan was recognized for his work starting the Vols Beat Cancer Scholarship Endowment, a scholarship for students at the University of Tennessee who are battling cancer. After facing a life-threatening cancer diagnosis at the young age of 27, the 2019 UT alumnus was determined to see something positive come from a terrible situation. After doing his own research, he found that limited resources were available for UT students in this position. He learned that other young people were facing the same hardships and diagnosis that he was, some even having to drop out of university due to the expenses. This led him to launch the Vols Beat Cancer Endowment, which quickly raised $50,000 for these UT students.
Cohl is now in cancer-free and in remission.
The $5,000 grant from Tennessee REALTORS® will help Vols Beat Cancer expand its services, ensuring more families receive the compassionate care they deserve.
