Residential Forms Committee

Composition

Up to twelve members who serve two-year staggered terms plus a Chair and Vice Chair who serve a one-year term, and an Executive Committee Liaison member. The Tennessee REALTORS® President may appoint special Liaisons.

Purpose:

To revise and/or develop Tennessee REALTORS® statewide-standardized forms for the benefit and use of all Tennessee REALTORS® members and firms making sure that the utility of the forms transcends local special interests and real estate practices; and to identify avenues that would help to increase usage of Tennessee REALTORS® standard forms by the members and firms.

Tennessee REALTORS® standard forms shall only change (revisions) in January and such changes will be made every two years with a January publish date that coincides with every odd year but include following exceptions:

At any time, revisions shall be made if legislation requires change in any of the forms.

General Meeting Information:

Generally there are 5-8 meetings scheduled through the year. This committee does not meet during the Spring Conference nor the Convention but will meet throughout the year at the Tennessee REALTORS® office in Nashville or some other location as determined. Each meeting can run 5-8 hours at a time. Please be prepared for long meetings if interested in serving. This meeting is open to the Tennessee REALTORS® membership. If interested in serving, it is advised that you attend a meeting as a guest prior to the year that you would like to serve.

Requirements:

A vacancy is automatically created when a committee member misses two consecutive, duly called, meetings. Excused absences only include absence due to death in the family or personal illness.
