Our leadership has been carefully monitoring reports about COVID-19 and the Delta variant. Because cases are rising throughout Tennessee, and as a reflection of our commitment to foster the health and safety of our members and guests, the Executive Committee has decided to make several adjustments to our original event plans. They include:

— The dates (Sept. 14-17) and location (Chattanooga) will remain the same, and our in-person professional development/CE courses will continue as planned.

— However, some previously scheduled governance meetings will be postponed and held virtually on dates outside the convention timeframe.

— We will strongly encourage attendees to wear masks throughout the convention in common areas and meeting rooms (unless eating or drinking), and we will provide Tennessee REALTORS® masks as part of the registration materials.

— You will see our leadership and staff wearing masks in those same areas throughout the event (unless on stage).

— Chairs will be spaced apart when possible. (We are not planning to limit attendance in sessions at this time.) We will place floor placards and other signage within the venue, and we will encourage attendees to be mindful of the space between themselves and others when networking.

— We will not offer communal food options (buffets/open shared bowls or containers). All food at the event will be served and/or individually wrapped.

— Our Main Event celebration Friday evening (which is sold out) will no longer include a post-event live band and dancing, but will instead feature entertainment from the stage for attendees to enjoy while social distancing.

— Our YPN and RPAC events will not include food served (but food and drinks will be available for purchase during those events).

In taking these actions, our goal is to ensure—to the best of our ability—that the convention is safe for all attendees. The leadership team will continue to monitor the situation as we move closer to the event. Please stay tuned for further information and details.
