Tennessee saw a record turnout for the Nov. 3 general election, with 3,045,401 ballots cast—68.6% of registered voters (also a record). Highlights from across the state include:

*new U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty (R), who defeated Marquita Bradshaw (D) and other challengers, with 62.5% of the vote;

*a flipped District 20 (Nashville-area) State Senate seat to Heidi Campbell (D), who defeated Steve Dickerson (R), 51.7% to 48.3%;

*No surprises in other Tennessee U.S. congressional or state-legislative races, which remained solidly in Republican hands.

We look forward to working closely with all of these elected officials as we continue to advocate on issues of importance to REALTORS®, private-property owners, buyers and sellers.
