In light of increasing concerns about the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Tennessee REALTORS® is taking the precautionary step of canceling or postponing all previously scheduled events, classes, meetings, and non-essential travel at least through April 17.
This decision is based on the announcement from health officials that multiple cases of the virus have been confirmed in Tennessee, and Gov. Bill Lee’s declaration of a state of emergency earlier today (March 12).
Our leadership and staff will continue to closely monitor and evaluate the situation during this period to decide if future events will be affected.
“We did not arrive at this decision lightly, but we believe it is best for the interests of our members, volunteer leadership and staff,” said 2020 President Hagan Stone. “We are committed to doing everything possible to protect the safety and well-being of the Realtor® community. Our actions are in line with similar decisions made by NAR and other organizations and businesses across Tennessee and the nation.”
If you are currently registered for an event or class between now and April 17, you will receive additional information. We will announce decisions about additional upcoming events as those determinations are made in the coming weeks.
