On behalf of the Tennessee Real Estate Commission, I would like to request your assistance in disseminating to your memberships some important information about license renewals and CE.

As you have probably heard, in an effort to better serve all of our licensees, TREC, is in the process of updating many important facets of its database. While we are confident that the upgrades to the system will make it more efficient and user friendly, we do anticipate a delay in processing renewals during the transition, which will take place September 1-15. In order to minimize the impact on the licensees, we have sent renewal notices (in an envelope) to all licensees whose licenses have a renewal date during the period June 1, 2015-November 30, 2015. We are encouraging these licensees to act now to complete their required CE and pay their renewal fee (either online or by mailing the renewal fee), in order to avoid any possible delay in renewal during, and possibly following the transition, to the upgraded system.

If each of you could encourage your members to check their license expiration date and if that date is on or before November 30, 2015, please encourage them to complete their CE and pay their renewal before the transition period begins at 12:01 a.m. on September 1, 2015.
